Cookies and statistics
This page describes what information the dellobuono.eu website collects while it is browsed, for what purposes and with what safeguards, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code.
Data controller
The controller is Dimitri Dello Buono, who can be contacted at dimitri@dellobuono.eu.
Technical storage
The site stores in the visitor's browser only three items strictly necessary for it to work, namely the light or dark theme selected, the position on the page when switching between languages and the choice made about statistics. This information stays on the device, is not sent to anyone and does not require consent.
Visit statistics
Only with the visitor's consent does the site use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to measure visits in aggregate form. It records the pages viewed, the length of the visit, the referring site, the type of device and browser and the approximate location. According to Google, Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
The service sets the _ga and _ga_25JMHJQHRR cookies, which tell one visitor from another without identifying them and expire after thirteen months. Data are retained for fourteen months. I have disabled Google signals, ad personalisation and the sharing of data with Google for advertising purposes.
Data may be processed by Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework recognised as adequate by the European Commission in its decision of 10 July 2023.
Legal basis, consent and withdrawal
Statistics are based on consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation. Declining does not restrict the use of the site in any way. The choice can be changed at any time with the «Preferences» button at the bottom of every page, and on withdrawal the statistics cookies are deleted.
Server logs
The hosting provider, Aruba S.p.A., records server access data such as the IP address and the page requested for technical and security reasons, according to its own retention policies.
Rights
Visitors may request access to their data, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and may object to processing, under Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation, by writing to the address above. They also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
